Speculaas is is a type of spiced shortcrust biscuit, traditionally baked for consumption on or just before Sinterklaas day in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria.
Speculaas are thin, very crunchy, caramelized, slightly browned and spicy cookies. Spices used in speculaas are cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, cardamom, and white pepper but the Belgian verison is less spicy.
We also use speculaas crumbles inside our Delight Cubes' white chocolate ganache.
Thus, while we make our Delight Cubes more delicious, we also add a traditional touch.
